TheGospelCry.com Poems:

"JUST A GLIMPSE"

Just a glimpse of the horror,

Of that darkest of days;

As my Savior bled naked,

Stretched out on display.

Just a glimpse of His flesh torn body,

Spat upon and mocked;

This vast show of humility,

By the Unshakable Rock.

Just a glimpse of God’s Wrath,

Poured out on His Own Dear Son;

As the Father turned His Face away,

From the sin, Christ did become.

Just a glimpse of what it cost Him,

Though too much for me to bear;

It was my sin and shame He endured,

As He hung in anguish there.

Just a glimpse of His Glory,

That’s what I long to see;

That I might know, what He gave up,

To save a wretch like me.

“IMPOSSIBLE TO FATHOM”

Weak and broken vessels,

The LORD doth aptly use;

To boldly make Him known,

Amidst the worldly views.

Impossible to fathom,

Yet absolutely true;

The Love of God displayed,

In what He came to do.

He put on human flesh,

And lived a life so pure;

Evil all around Him,

Man’s sin He did endure.

He kept the Law that we have not,

Though tempted as are we;

He was in the world He made,

Yet most could not see.

He died a brutal death,

Then rose again to life;

The Spotless Lamb of God,

The Perfect Sacrifice.

Became the sin of men,

And punished by the Father;

For the sin that He forgives,

Filthy, wicked, fodder.

There is no other Name,

Nowhere else to turn;

Yet much of His creation,

The Saviour, they do spurn.

Turn to Jesus Christ,

All other ways - perverted;

The time is short, the gate is small,

Repent and be converted.

"LOYAL UNTO DEATH"

Loyal unto death,

That’s what I long to be.

Until my final breath,

For God and not for me.

Many soldiers of the LORD,

Have offered up their lives.

Faithful to the very core,

With no compromise.

Denying their own selves,

Suffering great loss.

Rescuing others from hell,

Whatever their own cost.

Bound to Jesus Christ,

Until the very end.

Willing to pay the price,

And proven a true friend.

May there be the claim,

After breathing my last breath.

To Jesus He remained,

Loyal unto death.

TheGospelCry.com Written Songs:

“SEARCH ME, OH GOD”

As “Daniel purposed - in his heart,

That he - would not - defile himself”;

May we - from worldly - ways depart,

Christ - to be - our Wealth.

     "Search me, O God, - and know my heart;

     Try me, and know my thoughts:"

     Turn me from each wicked way,

     That Christ might be my All.

To be set free - from sin and shame,

Only through - the Blood of Christ;

Not our strength - but in His Name,

The sinless Sacrifice.

     "Search me, O God, - and know my heart:

     Try me, and know my thoughts:"

     Turn me from each wicked way,

     That Christ might be my All.

May Jesus Christ, - and Christ alone,

Be - our only - One Delight;

To bear - much fruit, - before His throne,

Shinning - forth - His Light.

     "Search me, O God, - and know my heart:

     Try me, and know my thoughts:"

     Turn me from each wicked way,

     That Christ might be my All.

Do you know - the Grace to say?

As Paul - before - did clearly write;

And - of Whom - he did display,

“Christ, - Who is our life”.

     "Search me, O God, - and know my heart:

     Try me, and know my thoughts:"

     Turn me from each wicked way,

     That Christ might be my All.

     That Christ might be my All.

     That Christ might be my All.

“THE UNSEARCHABLE RICHES OF CHRIST”

“The heavens declare the glory of God;

And the firmament sheweth his handywork.”

“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things:

To whom be glory for ever. Amen.”

     “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

     “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

     Oh to know, Oh to dwell

     In “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

After leaving behind, His Glory divine;

The sin and the shame, for His sheep He became.

By only His Grace, His Mercy and Love;

Could He save a disgrace, and all that I was.

     “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

     “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

     Oh to know, Oh to dwell

     In “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

Jesus the Christ, the Name above all names,

The Way, the Truth, The Light of the world.

What a privilege it is, to be known as His,

And to take up our cross for His Glorious Name.

     “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

     “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

     Oh to know, Oh to dwell

     In “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

We have not seen, nor heard nor perceived,

What God has prepared, for those who are His.

But only through Him, can we enter in,

To “the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

     “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

     “The unsearchable riches of Christ”

     Do you know, Do you dwell

     In “The unsearchable riches of Christ”?

"Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints."
(Psalm 149:1)
